First of year Rose Breast Grosbeaks

This year is turning out so great as for birds.   Last year it took me forever to attract goldfinches.  Now I have many.  Last few years have tried to attract orioles...I'd see them in the woods here and there. This year I have 5 pairs now at the feeders regularly.  Then yesterday, saw my first rose breasted grosbeak ever, then 3 today...at least a dozen. They are at several feeders at any given time of the day.  Seen a few females, but no pics or video yet.   Saw 2 indigo buntings, but no pics or video yet.

Baltimore Oriole visits my feeders

I have caught glimpses of Orioles here and there, but never up close and at the feeder.  I was able to get some gorgeous photos and some video of him.  He had been eating the sunflower chips, then I got some grape jelly and orange slices and put them out.  He spotted the jelly and went straight for it, then tried the orange, as you can tell in the video, my oranges weren't that great.  I had to agree.   I've only seen him here and there since, so this one may have been migrating through, we will see.  I definitely enjoyed the time her was here!

Whitetail doe with twins is bossy

This doe has a set of twins each year and pretty much stays around our pastures or a neighbors.  I had never seen her around other does until we put out the cameras.   Apparently she just stays to herself as she can't stand other adult does around her.

Tufted titmouse sneaks in on a cardinal to get the peanut

Tufted titmouse can be a tough bird to photograph.  They typically don't stick around, they come in, grab the seed and leave to the branches or a favorite spot to eat the seed then do it all over again.  If you watch long enough, you can figure out their spot to eat and grab some photos, if you're lucky enough that its a spot the lens can see and reach.

White Crowned vs White Throated Sparrow Bird Identification

I really hope this helps folks out.   Beginners to bird watching stress over learning to identify the birds at the feeders, in their yards, etc.    Don't ever let it stress you out, make it fun.  There are many birding books, websites, etc.   Feel free to post comments.
